Copilot expansion: Home, Code and Autopilot
On 25 September 2026 Microsoft announced an expansion of Copilot (announced as “the new Copilot”): Home brings Chat, Cowork and Office together, Code lets anyone build their own app or automation, and Autopilot is an agent that keeps working while you are away. Billing changes too: agentic work runs on usage-based billing (Copilot Credits). Most of it starts in the Frontier program or in preview; broad availability comes later.
